Mother problems? help please?

Me and my mother from the begining have never really gotten along, she always discouradged me, like just now, I play the violin and I'm not the best but I do play pretty good I must say and I asked her to buy me new strings because I've had the same strings for 2 years and she asked me why and I said because there old and starting to sound bad and she said " are you sure its the strings" with a smirk on her face. Music is my life and I play 4 other instruments than the violin, and my self esteem crashes if I'm not really good because its all I do, but my instructers say I'm amazing? I always try to get along with her and impress her, not only musically but as her daughter but its like she doesn't care. Sorry for the long thing, but what shouldi do? I just want it to end. I'm 15 years old and my own mother picks on me?
