Need some advice pleaseee?

Alright so please don't give me too much judgment on this. For a while now I've liked this guy. I've never had a long conversation with him but we've spoke a few times. When I first started to like him, I was talking to my friend. I asked her who she was txting and she told me it was him. I started kinda like smirking about it and so I told her I liked him. She told me she'd talk to him for me if I wanted but at the time I said no. So maybe a week or so after, I told her I did, but I wanted to be with her. She said we would. So after weeks of not hanging out and me txting her and like asking about it and for his number. I got nothing. And at the time she was talking to someone and it seemed like they were gonna go out so I didn't know what to think about it. So a few days ago we were hanging out and I asked who she was talking to since things didn't work out with the other guy. and she asked me if I still liked that guy and i told her yeah and then we kinda just stopped talking at that point. Sorry this is so long. But what I want to know is do I have a right to be upset with her or is it my fault. I mean I had no way of getting his number I asked all my friends. I have no way of hanging out with him or talking to him in person since I had no classes with him. Also does anyone have advice on how I can talk to her about it? Thanks.
